Champagne Cottages is a small family owned resort situated along side Bell Park Dam in the mountainous region of the beautiful Central Drakensberg.

The Central and Northern Drakensberg has been renamed the Okahlambha Region and has recently been awarded “World Heritage” status.

The region has no “poor weather” season and the summers, although hot during the day, are invariably cool in the evenings. The winters are especially enjoyable as the Central Drakensberg has comparatively mild winters with sunny days and crisp mornings and evenings.

Champagne Cottages is situated approx. 150m from Bell Park Dam and offers guests a private gate to the dam.

There is a concrete slipway for watercraft. As well as access to Bell Park we have our own small dam on the property .

There are beautiful walks and bird watching around the dams.

Crane Cottage

• There are 2 bedrooms, both with double beds and a bathroom (shower and toilet) upstairs.
  
• Downstairs is the kitchenette/lounge area + bedroom (double bed) and bathroom (bath with shower overhead.
  
• There is a small fireplace.
  
• The kitchen is equipped with the necessary utensils including stove/oven and fridge/freezer.
  
• There is a colour TV with MNET/TV3 and a Movie Channel
  
• There is a covered patio with table and chairs and a braai leading on to a wooden deck with a mountain view.

Dovecote Cottage

• The cottage has 1 bedroom with double bed as well as a tiny second bedroom with bunk beds.
• The bathroom has a bath and overhead shower.
• Small open plan lounge/kitchenette with fireplace.
• The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge/freezer 2 plate stove/oven ;microwave etc.
• Covered verandah with braai stand.
• There is TV with MNET/MM1/MM2 & SABC3 channels.

Eagle Cottage

• The main bedroom has an en suite bathroom (bath with separate shower) and has a queen size double bed.
  
• The 2nd bedroom is also en suite (bath and separate shower) with a double bed and single bed.
  
• The 3rd bedroom has 2 single beds and the bathroom is across the passageway and offers a bath with a shower overhead.
  
• The lounge and dining room area is huge and is ideal for family get-togethers. There is a Jetmaster fireplace as well as TV with MNET/TV3 and a Movie Channel.
  
• Large kitchen which is equipped with the necessary utensils including stove/oven and fridge/freezer.
  
• Covered patio with table and chairs and a braai.
  
• Large private garden with a lovely view of the mountain and the dam.

Hawk Cottage

• Cosy lounge with lovely fireplace
• Open plan kitchen with gas stove & oven, microwave, fridge/freezer.
• The kitchen is fully equipped with crockery & cutlery.
• The lounge separates the main bedroom from the other two bedrooms - perfect if you are looking for some privacy from the children!
• Up three stairs leads you to another compact bedroom with a double bed, as well as the third bedroom with two single beds.
• There is a small bathroom with a shower & toilet in this section of the unit.
  
• Lovely large undercover verandah with garden
  
• There is a Weber braai available.

Kingfisher Cottage

• Three large bedrooms with two bathrooms. The main bathroom has a sunken bath, toilet and separate shower. The second bathroom has a shower and toilet.
  
• A tiled lounge with a lovely cosy fireplace for those chilly Berg evenings. There is a separate enclosed sun porch with a large wooden picnic table.
  
• A kitchen which is fully equipped with a stove/oven, large fridge/freezer, microwave and utensils.
  
• The cottage is serviced daily.
  
• There is a lovely outlook onto large private lawn area overlooking the pool area and with views of Bell Park Dam.
  
• The cottage has its own braai area and a Weber braai is available.

Robin Cottage

• The cottage has 1 bedroom with double bed; full bathroom with separate shower; open plan lounge/kitchenette area with fireplace as well as covered verandah with braai stand.
• Kitchen is fully equipped with fridge/freezer; 2 plate stove/oven; microwave etc.
• There is TV with MNET/MM1/MM2 & SABC3 channels.

Starling Cottage

• The bedroom is upstairs with a double bed and a single bed.
  
• The kitchenette/lounge and bathroom are downstairs.
  
• There is a small fireplace.
  
• The kitchen is equipped with the necessary utensils including stove/oven and fridge/freezer.
  
• There is a colour TV with MNET/TV3 and a Movie Channel
  
• There is a covered patio with table and chairs and a braai - view of the mountain.

Swallow Cottage

• The bedroom has a Queen size double bed and there is a single bed in the lounge
  
• En suite bathroom with bath and a shower overhead.
