Here the emphasis of your stay is on having fun and filling each day with as many experiences as possible. From the lawn the entire Northern Drakensberg range is spread out in a breathtaking panorama enticing you to explore it! While you are here, visit Lesotho and Tugela Falls (the highest waterfall in Africa), rock climb, horse ride, mountain bike, fly-fish. Prices are ridiculously cheap and service is excellent. Use the lodge as a base for two or three FULL days. Each day you can experience a new highlight without wasting time on unnecessary travelling. The lodge takes its name from a unique part of the Northern Drakensberg that is shaped like a natural amphitheatre. It is here that the world famous Tugela Falls has its source, rising at Mont Aux Sources and then plunging down the 1km basalt wall, into Royal Natal National Park. Lesotho and South Africa are separated by this monolith. And whether you're camping, wanting a dormitory bed, a room to share, or travelling as a group—we can accommodate you. Even if you're just in the area, the bar is a great place to hang out. We have a really huge selection of funky music, a pool table, and in the winter a log fire. And great company!

- Dormitory beds are R85 p.p and you have access to a shared kitchen.
- Twins (twin beds) are R95 p.p, and R120 if you want an en-suite bathroom.
- Doubles (double bed) with en-suite bathrooms are R120 p.p, R140 with your own kitchenette
- Trips and Quads (sleep 3 or 4) have an en-suite bathroom and are R110 p.p
- Large groups can be accomodated at the Top Lodge
All of our guests have full access to all of the facilities including: - Laundry at R45 per person (done same day).
- Internet access (wireless if you have a laptop) at R10 for 15 minutes.
- The bar and restaurant
- The rec area - swimming pool, Satellite TV, barbeque area, climbing cave
- rooms are serviced daily
