- Lovely location and the hosts were very hospitable, however, having wanted to get a way for some peace and quiet, I was quite horrified to be blasted by the sound of the lawnmowers for 8 solid hours, 3 days running!!!!

- The scenery in the Central Drakensbergs was stunning. So much to see and do, and such good value. Only down side was the weather, we had not realized that February would be Winter, we had rain at some point almost every day, usually late afternoon. People coming from Europe should be made aware of the climate and also distances that might have to be driven if you wish to eat somewhere other than your hotel/accommodation, especially at night and on dirt/mud roads, they might choose to go full board rather than face 15 - 20k to find somewhere to eat. We stayed at the Ardmore Guest Farm, stunning location and views. Good and plentiful farmhouse food and excellent hospitality by the owners. But unfortunately we feel we should caution people about the Rondawel accommodation, it's badly in need of a revamp and was shabby and dirty. Also there is no mention of the 5k dirt road which is treacherous after heavy rain.

- Beautiful location, hospitable host. Plenty of good homestyle food. The owner and his family make every effort to make your stay enjoyable. Unfortunately could not recommend the Rondawel cottage accommodation. We understood it would be rustic but its was shabby and downright dirty and drastically in need of a revamp. The ensuite was something to be seen, a real pity as the place has so much to offer. However would also warn of the 5K dirt road that after heavy rain is a nightmare, particularly in a small hired car. The road is also used by the forestry vehicles and becomes very rutted.
